Book Review # 4 James Patterson & Maxine Paetro - "Confessions of a Murder Suspect"

Let me say first hand that this is the first book by James Patterson that I have read. I've heard his books are very good and now for myself, I can say that he has a way of writing that doesn't bore you to death. Honestly, I had my doubts about this book from the start. I thought I was going to put this book down but It was the total opposite in fact. I enjoyed reading this book and I read every single day and I was able to complete it fairly quickly.

I think I'll start giving each book a rating from 1 to 5, one being very bad and five being amazing. Of course there will be books with in between ratings. So this book would be a 3.5. It was a good book to read and I will read the other books that follow this series. But it isn't that good where I would sit down and read it again. I am a person who can't sit down and read a book or even watch a movie twice. It would have to be really amazing in order for me to actually want to read it a second time. Sadly this book wasn't going to change my mind about re-reading it in the future.

I would still recommend it to people to read. It was written for a teenager and it would be perfect for teens getting into reading more. I think that was a bit of a problem for me, I thought it was a little bit too easy of a read for me, I do enjoy myself a good challenge when it comes to reading. It started with the conflict on the first page. That was something I liked actually, it did not bore me on bit. Since it was an easy read I was able to get through the book pretty quickly. Keep in mind the chapters only lasted a few pages. Regardless of how long the chapters were or how many pages were there in total, it was a interesting book that was able to keep my attention for the past few days. P.S The book is written in perspective of the daughter Tandy Angel.

So imagine waking up to find your parents dead. There was no evidence of someone breaking and entering, what would you think? What would you feel? This is what the children of Malcolm and Maud Angel had to face, a very harsh awakening. Since there was no evidence of breaking and entering, imagine how you would feel to think one of your siblings were capable of murdering their parents? Since the book was written in Tandy's point of view, it was written like it was her diary, or her story. She writes like someone is there, which is pretty cool.

So overall finding out who was behind the death of the Angel parents were pretty weird. I wouldn't have expected it to end the way it did. Just say there was a happy ending in a sick kind of way. Until next book review!

Book Review # 3 - Delilah S. Dawson - "Servants of the Storm"

Book Review - Delilah S. Dawson - "Servants of the Storm"

First look at this book made me want to read it. I'm a person who loves dark art, gothic art, or anything along those lines. So when I first came across this book, it simply grabbed my attention. After attempting to read Identity Theft by Anna Davis, I bec
ame very skeptic of it and didn't know whether or not to actually read this. But I'm glad I did. Back to the cover page, I think this is the main reason I even picked up this book in the first place.

When I first began reading this book, I didn't know what to expect, so I just went for it. I was sitting on the train heading to work, I started to read and I got lost inside. I did not want to stop reading this book. It was pretty hard to stop, I wanted to continue. After work on my train rides back home, I make sure I take my book out and read. I even kept a highlighter handy for quotes that I found perfect for a new instagram photo. There are many pages highlighted and folded up because the book is really good.

If I had to rate it from a 1 to 5, with 1 being really bad and five being the best book ever, it would have to be a solid 4. Even though it is a young adult book, I really did enjoy reading it. I would recommend it to friends, family, and anyone who wants to find a good book to read.

I think I found it very interesting because I could kind of relate to the main character, Dovey. She got made fun of because she kind of lost her mind when she lost her best friend in a storm. She became known as crazy, in which she was put on medication and that made her memory hazy. I personally would be like that if I lost someone very close to me. But the whole demon thing kind of threw me off. I'm very harsh about books dealing with unrealistic things like demons and humans having babies and creating a baby to use. I'm a person who rather read about true crimes, horror, or mystery over romantic or science fiction. But regardless of that I was able to complete the book and say that I did in fact enjoy this book.

Book Review # 1 & # 2 - R. L. Stine - "Don't Stay Up Late" & Anna Davis - "Identity Theft"

Book Review # 1 - R. L. Stine - "Don't Stay Up Late"

Hands down this is my favorite author no matter how old I get. I am a big horror/mystery fan so growing up his books were able to keep my attention and keep me at the edge of my seat. I was pretty excited about seeing his newer work on the library shelf. I had to pick it up and it was the first book I had to read. The book was brand new and if you read my previous post, you'll know how much I love new books. It was a hard cover and I enjoyed everything about it; from the look to what was written within the pages.
It was a very easy read and even though it isn't my favorite type of story, I still enjoyed it. I can't wait for more of this work to be published in the coming years. Even though he is my favorite author there were some things that were good and there were things that were bad.
        Pros

1)  It's always written in the most direct and properly unlike other books I've read.
2) It plays with your mind a little.
3) Its easy to read and each to get through

      Cons

1) Its very predictable
2) It's not my kind of story that I'll read on the regular

The story/plot behind this is a girl, Lisa, 16 years old gets into a car accident with her mom, dad, and her dog Morty, and she loses her dad in the car accident. After getting to the hospital she suffers a concussion, which causes her hallucinations and nightmares. She starts to see a creature/ demon when she went to sleep one night. Then her therapist suggests for her to get a after school job to keep her mind off of things. So she starts to babysit this eight year old, Harry. He has to be asleep by 8 and no later, apparently cause of his condition. While she babysits, she sees the creature and her friends end up dying. She gets questioned and she comes clean about the creature, in which no one believes her.
blah blah blah blah, you know how this story ends, but regardless I am still a child at heart and I will always have a special place in my heart for his books.

Book Review # 2 - Anna Davis - "Identity Theft"

I literally couldn't get into this book. I've tried to but It wasn't able to grab me in. So I stopped at chapter 3 and returned the book. I wanted to read it but wasn't able to finish it. I'm not saying it was bad but it wasn't for me. I don't have much to say about this book, it had an alright preview and plot but like I said before- the book wasn't for me.

Book Haul #1

I have always been an avid reader and an enjoyer of books. I love having them and I love the way some of them look. I love new books, the ones that never been worn down with age. I don't know what it is but I really find satisfaction with books. Being a reader I enjoy going to the library and sit there reading for hours on end. I think reading has become a very seldom thing among many peoples daily life. When I say reading I mean actually sitting down and picking up a book to simply enjoy without any distractions. Lately I haven't been able to spend the time I want reading let along a lot of other things. But I'm trying my best to keep this up and continue to grow and learn.

Today I went to the library and picked up some books and I will sit down and read. I made a stop in the young adults section of the library because I'm a big kid at heart. I got pretty excited because I saw my favorite author of all time book on the shelf, R. L. Stine. So I picked up a total of six books. They are a descent size and it may take me some time to actually get through. I was thinking I could do book reviews of every book I read. It would be fun to write book reviews again so why not. Welcome

I have never been good at keeping blogs or keeping certain social medias up to date. I wouldn't say it is because I have a very good social life, but its the total opposite. I don't have a social life really, I barely see anyone, I'm too busy working or just being tired. On top of being really tired I have a crappy laptop and I barely use my regular computer, which makes it hard to keep my blogs updated. Even though I'm on my phone basically all day that should making a blog very easy right? Well it doesn't actually. I don't know why I find it hard to keep my blogs up to date with things.

So today I am going to try and keep this blog up to date with things. I don't know whether to keep this blog as a poetry blog, a book blog, or a make up blog. I feel like everyone is into make up now and is trying to become a make up artist. Well in my case I'm not, I just enjoy make up and dressing up. I have no intentions to make that a career, its more of a simple hobby that I enjoy. Writing on the other hand is my love, I would love to make a career out of writing someday. I know I'm not the best writer there is and I can accept that but I am a person with a lot of ideas and there is always room for improvement. I am ready to try and grow with this blog. whether or not people actually take the time to read my blog I will try and keep this more up to date.

This blog might be a mix of different things, nothing in specific but just what I feel like. It may be a book review or it may be new make up buys, or it may be something I bought. Whatever it may be there will be a blog on here about it.
