       Hello and welcome to my blog of wonders. Here you can find book reviews of books of all origin and genres. I will always be honest when it comes to reviewing any book. I try and keep my blog up to date and filled with truthful and fun reviews. So let's get started shall we?

      This beautiful book was sent to me by the author, Kyla Ross. This is a new author to me and I'm glad she got in contact with me. I'm a big fan of horror and suspenseful reads, so this was right up my alley. The synopsis was right to the point and it kept my attention from the cover to cover.

      Even though it was only ninety three pages long, it was straight to the point and each story held its own. There are three stories inside and they were not connected to one another. Each story kept me wanting to read more and more. Sadly it was a very short read and that brings me to my next point.

      The only bad thing I have to say, well it isn't necessarily a bad thing but it was too short. I personally wished that each story was lengthened just a little bit longer. It would have given the stories for depth and more detail. I felt like everything was so straight to the point that it felt rushed.

      I am always thankful for any authors that sent me their work in past, as well as the future authors. This quick and easy read is definitely a recommended read. Especially for someone that wants a quick read and enjoys anything horror or suspense related.

Book Review - "Hell is Empty all the Demons are Here" - Mark Rounds

I am a huge fan of free books, I mean who isn't right? So I received this beauty from full of books. If you guys do not know about them, please visit them on Twitter @Full ofBookss. Not only was I excited to be a part of a book blog and community, I also got free books in the process. I mean it's more than just free book that made me happy, I was to do something that I love, blogging and reading. I started book blog over a year ago depending on when this actually post. Blogging has helped me tremendously and it makes me look forward to things and keep positive thoughts in my head.

I was given a list to choose from and this was the only book that sounded a tad bit interesting. So from the start I already knew that this book wouldn't get a good review. There is my negative thinking kicked in. I know I shouldn't judge a book by its cover but, look wise it doesn't look appealing to me. It was very hard not to judge it even though I know I shouldn't have.

I opened up the first page and I made sure to clear my head and keep only positive vibes flowing. I don't know if it was me or if I was getting into another reading slump again. I set the book down for a few hours and then I gave it another chance and I got two chapters in. I don't know how I feel about this book honestly. I hate writing bad reviews but I was determined to finish it and like it but I couldn't. I felt like it was a drag for me.

So I put the book down for quite a long time and I forgot about it actually. I was actually hoping to revisit it and maybe get into it more than I was before. But days turn into weeks and I still haven't picked it back up. I know I have been slacking but it's not on purpose I promise. I was really determined to start over and complete this task. So I started all over again I truly wanted to get lost inside the story. I read a few pages and pages kept turning interning. It was a very easy read and was very fast pace. 

The pros of this book were it's a very beautiful hunk a book. Two, it's a very fast pace book. The third pro was the characters, they develop very quickly and you learn about each character as they come. The final pro was that it started off with a bang and it sparked an interest for me. But with every pro there is a con.

The cons of the book were as followed. The first thing for me was that it was very intimidating, both size and the genre of the book. I'm very picky when it comes to reading. I like reading books in genres I know I will like or love. The next con was that some parts are very dragging and I felt like some of the characters were just pushed onto me. I actually got lost reading it because I was so confused with who was who and what was going on. 

Book Review - Among Thieves - John Clarkson

Hello my bookish friends! I am really excited about writing this review for several reasons; 1) This lovely book was sent to me by the author himself. 2) This was the first or second book I actually received from an author. (I know it's late by the time I post this) 3) This book review is long overdue. Life has been kicking me in the butt lately, so once again I'm sorry for the delay.

The book that I will finally be reviewing is "Among Thieves" by John Clarkson. I created a twitter account dedicated to blogging and book related things. So I happened to stumble upon John Clarksons' page (@jclarksonauthor) and I tweeted him and several tweets and DM's he sent his book my way.

I was so excited to get my hands on this book. All he wanted was an honest book review in return. This was the first book I would get in the mail and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. When it finally came I was jumping with joy. It was so beautiful. I loved the cover and how it felt. This made me super anxious and happy to finally read.

Even though I was super excited for the book, I didn't read it right away sadly because I had a huge tbr shelf I had to attend to. But when I finally got around to reading it I was A D D I C T E D. I read it everywhere I could, from the train to and back from work. It was a fairly large book to carry around but I made sure I had it with me where ever I went.

The story is about an James Beck, an ex con whose friend turned to him for help. He learns that the men she is running from are very dangerous and he will need the help of his gang in order to win the war. It's an action pact book and every page will have you on the edge of your seat.

I loved the way it was written and I felt like it flowed freely. Normally I don't like reading books that have slang in them but I actually enjoyed reading this book. It was a fairly fast reading to get through.

My favorite character is James Beck, the main character of course. The way he was described and the things he has done to help his friends. For some odd reason when I was reading I pictured Jason Statham as Beck. I think that's why I loved James so much.

I could go on and on about this book but I know I have to cut it short. Let's get on to the rating; on Goodreads I gave this beauty a solid 5 out 5 stars. I believe this book deserved it and I highly recommend this book to everyone. It was one of the best written action books out there.
