Book Review - "The Way We Fall"

“The world can fall to pieces around us, but in the end, we'll always make it back to us.”

Before we get into the book review, let me do a little back story. So I recently was given a tablet to use for Kindle, so I decided to download some books and in this case all of the books that I downloaded was free. I am a person who rather have the physical copy than a kindle copy. But I was willing to give this a try and guess what? I became addicted to reading on kindle than actually holding the book. I literally carried this everywhere. It was so easy to carry and I didn't have to worry about the pages folding or tearing.
I happened to scroll onto this book called The Way We Fall by Cassia Leo, it was a series and it sounded pretty interesting plus it was free, so why not? Anyways, I started to read this and let's say I couldn't stop. The blurb given on Goodreads did not do this book justice.
"Maybe we shouldn’t have fallen so fast and so willingly.
Maybe we shouldn’t have moved in together before we went on our first date.
Maybe we should have given our wounds time to heal before we tore each other to shreds.
Maybe we should have never been together.
Houston has kept a devastating secret from Rory since the day he took her into his home. But the tragic circumstances that brought them together left wounds too deep to heal.
Five years after the breakup, Houston and Rory are thrust together by forces beyond their control. And all the resentments and passion return with more intensity than ever.
Once again, Houston is left with a choice between the truth and the only girl he’s ever loved.

I was addicted to the rush created when Houston and Rory or next to one another. True love never dies and clearly their love for each other was authentic and very addictive. I'm coming to learn that I am a helpless romantic at heart for stories like this one. I love reading about realistic relationships and reading about what goes on in them. Rory is an independent woman with a big heart. She was head over heels for Houston when they were a thing years ago. In all relationships there will be trouble and fighting. Everything became too much and Houston watched Rory leave. During their relationship something terrible happened and he kept a secret from Rory until they reunite again.
As I've said in some of my previous posts, I am a hopeless romantic and I couldn't help but find this book cute and it made me think about my fiancee. No matter how much we may fight she will always love me. I am so thankful for my best friend.
Anyways back to the book, so for the rating, I rated it on Goodreads a 5 out of 5 stars. I literally love this book and I cannot wait to buy the remaining books of the series. I recommend this series to everyone - I think everyone should experience the loveyness of this book,  As always I have to thank you for reading and taking the time for my blog.

Book Review - "Unknown" - Didier Van

This was one of the books I got during my Barnes and Noble haul online. Now I'm actually dreading reading this right now. I don't even want to write this blog post. Its not that I'm lazy but it literally made me want to return this book back to Barnes & Noble. I was disappointed with the book overall.
This book made me want to throw it on to the train tracks. I didnt want to complete this book; I got it because I thought it would be just as good as the movie. But I was wrong, dead wrong. So given that this post  will be very short.
The reasons why I personally dislike this book it goes as followed,
1) It was boring. It did not hold my attention at all. I expected it to be like the movie, guess not.
2) Everything just started. It really didn't give me much to read and work with.
3) It wasn't anything like the movie.
Give that onto the rating we go. I actually rated this book of 2 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. Keep this in mind this book has roughly 3.5 stars overall. Thanks again for reading!

Book Review - "She" - Thom Young

This was the first book I actually read on my tablet using Kindle. Normally I don't like to read on any devices I rather have the book in my hand. This book was very quick read that I actually enjoy reading. I found a few quotes that stuck to me.
There isn't much to say about the book so let's go straight to the ratings. I actually waited this a 4 out of 5 stars. This is actually a really high rating so I change down to a  3.4 out of 5 stars

Book Review - Confess- Colleen Hoover

“No one deserves you like I do.” …“No one sees you like I do.” …“No one understand you the way I do.” …“No one makes your heart beat like I do.” …He presses his palm against my heart. “And no one else deserves to be inside you if they can’t get there here first.”
Hello there! I have to confess something, yell at me for this but this was the first Colleen Hoover book I read or even held. I know, I know I should be ashamed of this. I don't know why it took me this long to get my hands on one of her book, or all in this case. After reading this I went to Barnes and Noble and bought myself all of her books they had in stock. I died, literally I died from happiness that day I am not ashamed of this, after reading this and understanding why a lot of people on booktube as well as bookstgram are raving Colleen Hoover's work. At first I was kind of iffy about her books. When I received the book at the library I didn't know what to expect, I had to keep an open mind and I did.
I have to say that I regret not reading her books earlier. I simply could not put down this book. I read it everywhere I could from the train to the bus. I love the connection between Auburn and Owen. It was love and the fire and wouldn't die. Another thing I like was the way the story was told it was told from both Auburn and Owens view. I thought that made me fall in love even more. Another thing I liked was the artwork included was a nice touch. It painted a better picture for the reader. Since I now own the book I am planning to actually write poems simply based off the pictures included in the book itself. So whatever comes to mind I will write and just lost myself while I unwind and write. So when I do get around to it I will include the artwork and the poem I wrote.
I believed that the writing was simple but yet so different and personally I think she did a wonderful job with connecting with the readers; young adults. This book didn't paint a perfect relationship, but a relationship that was real and readers are able to connect more to realistic relationships rather than fairy tale relationships.
On Goodreads I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars. It was that good and Colleen Hoover made me a huge fan from that one book. I cannot wait to start reading her other books. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read my blog post.
